Macho, born Marzio Vincenzi, was a lead and background vocalist from Bologna, Italy. He had a deep fascination with disco music, which led him to convince his friend Mauro Malavasi to produce his first record, "I'm A Man," in 1978. This title track, a remake of a piece by Steve Winwood, achieved immediate success. In 1980, with the rise of 'rosco music'—a blend of rock and disco—Macho released the album "Roll," featuring tracks such as "Mother Love (Mama Mia)," "You Got Me Running," and the title track "Roll." While Malavasi's career continued to flourish, Macho passed away in 1998.
