Madd Rod, the artistic persona of Rodrigo Pinheiro, is a DJ, producer, and head of Inner Shah Recordings. Known for blending diverse music styles, he creates a unique sound that combines nostalgic and avant-garde aesthetics. His debut album, "Dystopian Desert," released in 2020, marked the beginning of his career and opened doors for new collaborations and remixes. In 2021, he joined the Portuguese label Discotexas, which provided a musical home for his explorations. Currently residing in Berlin, Madd Rod has embraced a retrofuturist sound as he prepares for his second studio album, "Sad Behaviour." This album features a robust, punk, and intimate sound, reflecting on the past while looking towards the future. "Sad Behaviour" was released on September 29, 2023, in both physical and digital formats, showcasing the quality of Discotexas.
