The Maddox Brothers and Rose, renowned as America’s Most Colorful Hillbilly Band from the 1930s to the 1950s, featured four brothers—Fred, Cal, Cliff, and Don Maddox—along with their sister, Rose. The band originated from Boaz, Alabama, and became notable for their vibrant performances. Cliff Maddox, born on May 19, 1912, passed away on August 8, 1949, and was succeeded by their brother Henry Maddox, born on March 19, 1928. The group ultimately disbanded in 1956.
