**Bio: Made In U.S.A.** Made In U.S.A. (Made In Unity, Strength Ambition) was formed in 1975 and remained together for only a few years. The group was hand-picked by Freida Nerangis and Britt Britton, with assistance from Brooklyn native and alto saxophonist Darryl Gibbs. The lineup included Jann Harrison (vocalist), Willie Slaughter (bass), Herbert Aikens (tenor sax), Kevin Hood (keyboards), Charles Morais (guitar), Ruben Faison (alto sax), and Greg Henderson (trumpet). Jann Harrison, known for her statuesque beauty, had previously sung with the Exciters, while most of the other members had collaborated with various artists, including Ben E. King, Ecstacy, Passion & Pain, and Joe Bataan. In 1977, the group released their first and only LP, *Melodies*, which showcased their skills and featured no overdubs or additional musicians, as they aimed to replicate their recordings live. Nerangis and Britton composed most of the songs on the album, including the title track "Melodies." The single gained popularity in New York and Florida but faced setbacks due to distribution problems experienced by De-Lite. A follow-up single, "Shake Your Body," failed to make an impact on the charts. Despite disco's dominance, the group struggled to find work in New York City venues. Ultimately, with no gigs
