Magic Lady was a soul group from Detroit, Michigan, formed in the 1980s by Linda Stokes and her husband. Initially a female trio, the group later transitioned into a duo. They began their career as background vocalists for various artists. In 1982, Linda Stokes, Jackie Steele, and Kimberly Ball released the album 'Hot 'n' Sassy' on A&M Records. The single 'Red Hot Stuff' became an R&B hit in the USA, while 'Hold Tight' gained a cult following as a UK soul track.
