Her musical career began in the 1970s, during which her LPs showcased a progression from folk roots to avant-garde and progressive forms, ultimately evolving into rock. Notable experimental albums from this period include "Faudrait Rallumer La Lumière Dans Ce Foutu Compartiment" and "La Folle," the latter featuring contributions from various musicians. In the 1980s, she transitioned to a more straightforward rock and chanson style, primarily performing under the nickname Mama Béa.
