Her musical journey began in the 1970s, where her LPs showcased a progression from folk roots to avant-garde and progressive forms, eventually transitioning into rock. Notable experimental albums include "Faudrait Rallumer La Lumière Dans Ce Foutu Compartiment" and "La Folle," the latter featuring collaborations with various musicians. In the 1980s, she adopted a more straightforward rock and chanson style, primarily under the nickname Mama Béa.
