Manduka was a Brazilian singer and composer born in 1952 in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro. He was the son of a poet and the nephew of a musician. In the early 1970s, he moved to Chile, where he released his first albums and collaborated with various artists. In 1973, he relocated to Argentina, then to Venezuela, and later to Europe, where he published several books and records. Manduka returned to Brazil in 1979 and continued to work on various projects until his death at the age of 52 on October 17, 2002, in Rio de Janeiro. His discography includes notable works such as "Brasil 1500" (1972), "Manduka" (1974), "Manduka e Naná Vasconcelos" (1975), "Brasil" (1976), "Caravana" (1978), "Los sueños de America.
