Manic Street Preachers is a rock group formed in Blackwood, Wales in the late 1980s. The band consists of James Dean Bradfield (lead guitar, vocals), Nicky Wire (sometimes known by his real surname Jones - bass), and Sean Moore (drums). Richey Edwards, who played rhythm guitar, has been missing and presumed dead since 1995. Despite this tragedy, the remaining members have continued to perform as a trio. Known for their heavy guitar sound, the band has also attracted attention from electronic artists who have remixed their work.
