Manicured Noise is a band from Manchester, England, formed in 1978. They are known for their unique sound and contributions to the music scene during their active years. Their retrospective album, "Northern Stories 1978/80," released on Caroline True Records, compiles nearly all of their recordings for the first time, including their two singles for Pre/Charisma Records, a BBC session, and previously unreleased material. The band consists of Steve Walsh on vocals and guitar, Stephanie Nuttall on drums, Jodie Taylor on bass, Peter Bannister on clarinet and sax, Owen Gavin as a vocalist, and Jeff Noon on guitar.
