Marcia Griffith is a Jamaican singer born on November 23, 1949, in West Kingston. She began her professional singing career in 1964 with Byron Lee and the Dragonaires band. Shortly after, she recorded her first hit, "Feel Like Jumping," at Coxsone Dodd’s Studio One. During her time at Studio One, Marcia collaborated with Bob Andy, leading to many successful duet recordings. She later went solo on the High Note label, working with reggae's sole established female producer, Sonia Pottinger, and achieving several hits. A decade into her music career, Marcia joined forces with Judy Mowatt and Rita Marley to form the I-Threes, becoming an essential part of the Bob Marley entourage.
