Marcia Griffiths is a Jamaican singer born on November 23, 1949, in West Kingston. She began her professional singing career in 1964 with Byron Lee and the Dragonaires. Shortly after, she started recording at Coxsone Dodd’s Studio One, where she achieved her first hit with "Feel Like Jumping." During her time at Studio One, she collaborated with Bob Andy, resulting in several successful duet recordings. After this period, Marcia went solo again under the High Note label, working with reggae's only established female producer, Sonia Pottinger, and releasing multiple hits. A decade into her music career, she joined forces with Judy Mowatt and Rita Marley to form the I-Threes, becoming an essential part of the Bob Marley entourage.
