Maria del Mar Bonet is a Catalan songwriter born in Palma de Mallorca in 1947. She began her career in the "Nova Cançó" movement in 1967 and quickly became known for her impactful songs. Some of her early hits include "Què volen aquesta gent?", a protest song, and her rendition of "L'àguila negra," originally by French singer Barbara. This song helped her achieve her first Gold Album with the LP "No voldria res més ara" in 1971. She is also the sister of an unspecified individual.
