Mariana Efstratiou (Greek: Μαριάνα Ευστρατίου) was born on 17 April 1955 in Athens, Greece. She is a singer known for her connections to the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1987, she served as a backing singer for the duo Bang. Efstratiou won the Greek national song contest in 1989, surpassing prominent singer Anna Vissi, and represented Greece in Lausanne with her song "To Diko Sou Asteri," which placed ninth. In 1996, she was selected by ERT to represent Greece again with the song "Emis forame to himona anixiatika," but it finished in 14th place in Oslo. In 1998, she sang several songs in the semi-finals of the Greek national contest, though none were victorious. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with Mimmis Plessas and has appeared on stage in various productions, including the theatrical play "Pornography" by Manos Hatzidakis. She has released two records and a promo CD single, featuring a cover of "Twist in My Sobriety" by Tanita Tikaram on her debut album. Currently, she is the lead singer of the jazz ensemble Nova Moo.
