Marianne Dissard is a French chanteuse who spent two decades in Tucson, Arizona, before relocating to the UK in 2017. Known for her albums of baroque desert noir Americana, her music has been composed by Joey Burns and features collaborations with various artists. She has toured internationally with members from different bands and has performed alongside notable musicians. Dissard has recorded duets with several artists and her lyrics, sung in both French and English, have been performed by others. She is also a director of music videos and documentaries, including works like Lonesome Cowgirls, Drunken Bees, and Celtic Traveler, through which she documented her hometown of Tucson. In addition to her music career, Dissard produced the second album of a French artist and published her first memoir, Not Me, in 2019, which was later adapted for the stage. Her first album of covers, Rappel*le, was released in 2023 and produced with Raphael Mann. Since 2020, her street photography has been showcased in solo gallery exhibitions and installations across Paris, Ramsgate, and Glasgow, and has been compiled into photobooks and limited-edition prints.
