Marie Laforet was a French-Swiss actress, singer, writer, and lyricist, born on October 5, 1939, in Soulac-Sur-Mer, Gironde, France. She was also known for her roles as a gallery owner and auctioneer. In 1978, she moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where she acquired Swiss citizenship. Marie Laforet passed away on November 2, 2019, in Genolier, canton of Vaud, Switzerland.
