Marisela Esqueda, known professionally as Marisela, is a Mexican-American singer born on April 24, 1966, in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is also referred to as "The Iron Lady" and "The Latin Madonna." Marisela recorded her first album at the age of 18 in 1984 and continued to release music throughout the 1990s. One of her notable hits is her cover of Barbara George's "I Know (You Don't Love Me No More)," titled "Ya No," which reached number one on the Billboard Latin Songs chart in 1990. In her early years, she starred in the children's television show Villa Alegre.
