Mark-Almond was an English jazz/rock group active from 1970 until 1978. The members met while recording together in 1969 and formed the band in 1970. The original lineup included Jon Mark and Johnny Almond, with a drummer joining in time for their second album in 1971. The band expanded to seven members between 1972 and 1973, experiencing several personnel changes before disbanding. Jon Mark and Johnny Almond reformed Mark-Almond as a duo in 1975, during which they recorded four more albums before breaking up for good in 1978. Johnny Almond passed away on 18 November 2009 due to cancer at the age of 63. File under M and do not confuse with :-)
