Mark Barrott is an English electronic and Balearic musician originally from Sheffield. He began his musical journey at the age of 13, inspired by a live show at Sheffield City Hall, and started playing synthesizers in various groups. Under a stage name, he created ambient and drum'n'bass music, often blending the two genres. Barrott relocated to Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, to live with his wife, where his career took a significant turn after a hotel in Milan, Italy, included one of his tracks on a compilation CD. This opportunity led to him performing at the hotel and subsequently sharing his music with several Sheraton hotels, which resulted in him being employed as a music consultant by Hyatt. Over the next five years, he traveled to hotels around the world. In 2009, Barrott moved to Punta Del Este, Uruguay, where he formed a label, and later relocated to Ibiza in October 2012.
