Mark Fry is a psychedelic folk musician and painter, born on November 4, 1952, in Epping, Essex, UK. At the age of 19, he recorded his debut album for an RCA sublabel in Italy in 1971, which later gained a cult following and was frequently bootlegged. Dream magazine described it as "one of those albums that feels like a secret you can't wait to share." In 2006, the reissue of his album "Alice" by Sunbeam Records prompted Mark to return to the studio to record "Shooting the Moon," his first album in 35 years. The songs on this album reflect his secluded, rural life as a painter and a private musician. Shindig! magazine praised "Shooting the Moon," calling it "about as perfect an album as you are likely to hear all year." Mark is currently working on a third album, exploring new musical collaborations while also spending time in his painting studio.
