Mark Lanegan (November 25, 1964 – February 22, 2022) was an American singer, songwriter, author, and musician from Ellensburg, Washington. He began his musical career in 1984 as the frontman of a psychedelic grunge band. After the end of Screaming Trees, he became a frequent collaborator with various artists throughout his career. Lanegan's collaborations included work with multiple notable musicians. He passed away in Killarney, Ireland.
