Marta Sebestyen is a Hungarian folk singer, composer, and actress born on August 19, 1957, in Budapest, Hungary. She has performed regularly with a Hungarian folk ensemble, contributing to several recordings. Her repertoire includes folk songs from various Hungarian regions, as well as songs from Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Japan, Norway, and Serbia. Marta has collaborated with a Grammy Award-winning French duo, and one of her songs features in a movie. In recognition of her contributions to music, she was named a UNESCO Artist for Peace in 2010.
