Martin Brodin is a Swedish DJ, producer, and passionate music lover. He is the driving force behind MB Disco and has previously managed other labels. Brodin’s labels have served as an outlet for his own music, and he has also released tracks on notable imprints such as Southern Fried, Compost, Buzzin Fly, and Nang. His productions have been featured on mix CDs by a variety of DJs, including Carl Cox, Nick Warren, Andrew Weatherall, and Claude VonStroke. As a remixer, Martin has made a mark with his revisions of tracks like "Sky" by Human League for Wall of Sound, Giorgio Moroder’s "The Chase," and Visage’s "She’s Electric." His first DJ mix CD was named Compilation of the Month in IDJ Magazine in 2005. Martin has performed as a DJ in locations ranging from London to Tokyo. His serious interest in music began in the 1980s, inspired by artists like Yello, Depeche Mode, and Kraftwerk. He discovered House music through Lil Louis’ "French Kiss" in the early 1990s, while his passion for Disco was ignited by First Choice’s "Dr Love." Today, Martin Brodin continues to be an active producer, DJ, and label boss.
