Mary Love was a soul and gospel singer born on July 27, 1942, in Sacramento, California, USA. She was active in the music scene from the 1960s to the early 1980s and later reemerged in the mid-1980s to perform updated soul music with a Christian-centered message. Mary Love is regarded as a "Queen of Northern Soul" music in Europe and the United Kingdom. Throughout her life, she was married twice and had children, including one known by the name of her stage persona. She passed away on June 21, 2013.
