The Master's Apprentices, often referred to as The Masters by fans, were an Australian pop/rock band formed in 1965 in Adelaide, South Australia. The band featured a singer and songwriter/rhythm guitarist, and their earliest recordings showcased a blend of gritty R&B/rock influenced by British groups, along with minor-key melodies. After experiencing instability with eight personnel changes between 1966 and 1968, Bower left the group in late 1967. The band relocated to England in the early 1970s, where they achieved a degree of cult success with progressive rock albums before disbanding in 1972.
