Matching Mole was a British progressive rock band formed in 1971 by drummer and vocalist Robert Wyatt after leaving Soft Machine. Embracing improvisation and emotional depth, the group blended elements of jazz, rock, and experimental music. Their two albums, *Matching Mole* (1972) and *Little Red Record* (1972), showcased Wyatt’s introspective songwriting and the ensemble’s adventurous interplay.
