Matsuo Ohno was a Japanese electronic composer born in 1930 in Kanda, Tokyo. He passed away on December 19, 2022. Ohno studied sound effects at the Bungaku-za theatre troupe and at NHK, eventually becoming a freelance sound designer, sound effects creator, and electronic composer. He is notably recognized for creating the electronic sound effects for the "Astro Boy" TV show in 1963.
