Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre (born March 24, 1936, in Clarksville, Arkansas; died November 9, 2013) was an American free jazz tenor saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist. He became a member of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) in the mid-1960s. After releasing his 1981 live album, McIntyre recorded very little, instead performing on the streets and in the subways of New York.
