Maurice Vander was a French jazz pianist born on June 11, 1929, in Vitry-sur-Seine, Val de Marne, France. He was affectionately nicknamed "Le pianiste alpiste." Vander passed away on February 16, 2017, in Paris, France. He was the adoptive father of an unspecified individual. Please note that he should not be confused with a songwriter of the same name.
