Mauricio Tizumba is an actor, composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist, music director, and captain of congado. His artistic journey began in childhood at the now-defunct TV Itacolomi. Tizumba has established a dialogue between various artistic languages and the traditional popular expressions of Afro-Brazilian and Afro-Minas culture.
