Mave & Dave, a Trinidadian husband-and-wife duo consisting of Mavis John and Dave Elcock, gained recognition in 1977 with their bubblegum-soul hit "You Are What Love Is." Dave Elcock is also known for his role as the host of Elcock in the Morning on NBS Radio. The duo produced several follow-up tracks, collaborating with some of the island's top names in soul.
