Max Brennan, described by NME as a "spiritual disco-technician," has been a consistently imaginative force in music over the last decade. Living on the Isle of Wight, Max has embraced Transcendental Meditation, which he credits for providing him with the "nice inner states of bliss" he once sought through class A drugs. His philosophical and extraterrestrial interests often lead to discussions about conspiracy theories, where he entertains the notion that there are forces aiding human evolution, whether they be angels or aliens. Max's musical creations reflect these themes, ranging from his works like Alien to Whom? and We Are Part Of Us And So Are You, to O.H Krill's The Krill Papers and Fretless AZM's Astral Cinema. He records with a unique combination of ancient synthesizers, live instruments, and modern samplers, resulting in a blend of organic sounds with contemporary elements. An electric bass virtuoso, he also plays keyboards, tabla, double bass, and various other instruments, drawing influences from funk, disco, jazz, Indian classical music, and movie soundtracks. Max frequently collaborates with local and London-based musicians, including Tom Vernon, Paul Butler, Rupert Brown, and James Nye, while also enjoying a successful solo career. His live performances are known for their driving bass lines and dynamic mixing, often stealing the show at festivals across Europe. In addition to his performance work, Max is a sought-after DJ and remixer.
