Maxwell Udoh was a Nigerian singer known for his role as the lead vocalist for The Doves. He joined the band after the tragic passing of Cameroonian singer Lawrence Nsoesie Ebanga, who died in an accident on the notorious Njaba Bridge in 1976. In 1982, at the age of 21, Udoh embarked on a solo career. He passed away in December 2014 after a prolonged illness.
