Mayer Hawthorne is a talented singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, audio engineer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist. He began his music career as a member of a group based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, before relocating to Los Angeles in 2005. In the same year, he was signed by Stones Throw label head and released his debut album, A Strange Arrangement, in 2009. In 2023, Hawthorne founded his own label.
