M'Bamina, also known as "lightning," was formed on July 1, 1972, by eight boys in Italy who discovered tools and equipment to play music. They made their debut performance at Le Rotonde di Garlasco, near Pavia, in 1973. After a two-year wait, they released their first album, "African Roll," produced by a French impresario and an Italian club owner. In 1976, the band embarked on a European tour and performed a notable show in Cameroon at the Stade de Yaoundé. The following year, in 1977, M'Bamina opened for a concert at Au Pavillon de Paris. Their music is characterized by a blend of R&B, Afro-Cuban influences, and traditional sounds, showcasing a fusion of instrumental music, dance, and song.
