Medicine Head was a British rock band formed in 1969, led by John Fiddler and Hope Evans. They recorded six albums during the 1970s, with their first three released on John Peel's Dandelion label. After Peter left the band at the end of 1971, John continued with drummer John Davis and another musician on bass guitar until Peter's return in the summer of 1972, after which they resumed as a duo. In October 1973, they took a break from touring to recruit additional musicians. The band switched to Polydor and released the album "One & One Is One," featuring various session musicians. The title track became their biggest hit, reaching No. 3 in the UK in 1973, followed by "Rising Sun," which peaked at No. 11. For their next album, "Thru' A Five," they regularly collaborated with members of Family, including a drummer and guitarist. This album included the Slim Harpo-influenced song "Slip and Slide," which was their final hit, reaching No. 22 in the UK in 1974. Despite extensive touring, often as a supporting act, Medicine Head did not achieve an album on the UK Albums Chart. Their last album, "Two Man Band," was recorded at Pete Townshend's Eel Pie Studios, and they reverted to being a duo. Medicine Head disbanded in 1977. In 2005, Angel Air
