Mel Williams is a soul vocalist and songwriter from Los Angeles, California, active from the 1950s to the 1970s. He has performed internationally, touring popular destinations in Spain and the Canary Islands, as well as shows in Nashville, Philadelphia, and various elegant venues in South Florida. Mel's musical journey began at a bingo hall where he sang impromptu for the attendees, earning his first pocket change. His career has flourished since then, and he has shared the stage with numerous notable acts, including gospel greats Shirley Caesar and the Mighty Clouds of Joy, blues legends Bo Diddley and Little Peggy Marsh, and doo-wop legends The Mystics. Mel has also opened for Sid Justin of the Miracles and Clarence Carter, known for his hit "Strokin'." He is affiliated with various artists, including Jessi Campo, DeeDee Wilde, and Blues Man Bobby Stringer, and is a member of The SenSations, a Motown tribute act, as well as a tribute to The Platters.
