Melanie Charles is a Brooklyn-born singer, flutist, and producer celebrated for blending jazz, soul, and Haitian roots into a sound that is both timeless and forward-looking. A graduate of The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, she has collaborated with artists such as Wynton Marsalis, SZA, and Gorillaz. Known for her innovative approach to reimagining classics, including her acclaimed project *Y’all Don’t (Really) Care About Black Women*, Charles continues to challenge boundaries while honoring the lineage of Black women in jazz and beyond.
