The Melo Gents were a musical group from Orange and East Orange, New Jersey. They recorded the singles "Git Off My Back" and "Baby Be Mine," both written by group members Bobby Kline and Steve Barnhardt, under Warner Bros. Although they recorded many other songs, those remained unreleased. The group toured extensively, performing in Canada, throughout New York, the New England states, and various provinces in Canada, alongside the 5 Satins and the late Bill Baker.
