Melvin Jackson is a Chicago-born bassist and composer, known for his membership in the Eddie Harris Quartet. He is also recognized as an American blues saxophonist and trumpeter, having performed with various artists. Additionally, he is the younger brother of reggae artist "Munchie," who is related to Maurice Jackson.
