Melvin Lee Davis is a versatile session bass player, vocalist, keyboard player, producer, TV composer, and engineer from the USA. He gained recognition in the 1980s for recording, touring, and co-writing, including the theme song for the television show "Soul Train." Throughout his career, Davis has collaborated with various artists, serving as a music director and working with notable names in the industry. He is not to be confused with a 1960s Detroit artist of the same name.
