Memory Pearl, the project of Moshe Fisher–Rozenberg, delves into ambient electronica. His debut album, "Music for 7 Paintings" (2020), was inspired by his travels to art galleries across North America, where he sought out paintings to translate into sound. Each track on the album corresponds to a specific abstract expressionist work by artists such as Joan Mitchell, Robert Ryman, Lee Krasner, Helen Frankenthaler, Franz Kline, and Jackson Pollock. Fisher–Rozenberg's unique approach highlights sound as a medium for artistic expression, similar to brushstrokes in visual art. In 2020, he collaborated with the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) for their AGO Home Stage series, performing an exclusive set that combined layers of synths, samples, and live instrumentation. Fisher–Rozenberg's sophomore album, "Cosmic–Astral," is set to release in 2025. This album reimagines a 1970s music program used by music psychotherapists alongside LSD, which was previously removed from therapeutic use for being too confrontational. He aims to recompose it into something "more delicate and tender." The album features contributions from various artists, including a guitarist and other collaborators.
