Miaux, born Mia Prce in Sarajevo in 1982, is an Antwerp-based keyboard virtuoso known for her minimal and timeless music that resonates with melancholic souls. Influenced by her parents, both painters, she moved to Antwerp at the age of seven and became immersed in the vibrant artist scene surrounding Ercola, one of the oldest artists' collectives in the city. Miaux developed a passion for music early on, inspired by her father's cassette collection featuring artists like Embryo, Neu!, Brainticket, and Roxy Music. Her fascination with music began with an old-school Casio keyboard she received at five, and she later pursued classical training in piano. Her music evokes the sounds of Roedelius, Ruth White, and electronic interpretations of baroque music, showcasing her talent as she plays with just two hands on her Casio keyboard, creating the effect of a complete band.
