Michael Zager Band is best known for their disco hit "Let's All Chant," released in 1977, which sold five million copies and reached #1 on the US dance chart and #8 in the UK. The band was formed by songwriter, arranger, keyboardist, producer, and conductor Michael Zager, who also collaborated in writing and sang on their albums. Zager discovered Whitney at the age of 14, and she later sang with her mother on the track "Life's A Party." Their eponymous album, a masterpiece of the disco era, was recorded in the USA (A side) and in Europe (B side). Additionally, Whitney sang for The Michael Zager Band in 1980 on the track "Time Heals Every Wound."
