Michal Urbaniak was a Polish jazz violinist, saxophonist, composer, and arranger, born on January 22, 1943, in Warszawa. He began his career in Poland and Scandinavia during the 1960s and formed a group in Poland in 1969. Urbaniak emigrated to the USA in 1973 and established Fusion in 1974. Throughout his career, he worked as a session musician with various performers. He passed away on December 20, 2025, in New York City, NY. Urbaniak was also known as the ex-husband and father of notable individuals, though their names are not specified.
