Michel Colombier was a French composer for film music, born on May 23, 1939, in Lyon, France. He passed away on November 14, 2004, in Los Angeles, California, USA. Colombier is generally regarded as one of the most innovative record arrangers of the 1960s in France, having worked with notable artists such as Charles Aznavour and Jeanne Moreau. He later moved to Los Angeles, CA, after being signed by Herb Alpert’s A&M Records, where he collaborated with prominent musicians including Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond, and The Beach Boys. Throughout his career, he wrote over one hundred film scores and twenty ballets.
