Mickey Yoshino is a renowned Japanese songwriter, arranger, and keyboard player, born on December 13, 1951, in Yokohama. He began his musical journey in 1966, performing at U.S. military bases in Japan with a band called Midnight Express Blues Band. In 1968, he joined a notable band and remained a member until 1970, also participating in their 2004 reunion. Yoshino studied at Berklee College of Music, graduating in 1974. Upon returning to Japan that same year, he formed the Mickie Yoshino Group, which was renamed in 1975. In addition to his work in music, he has composed for film, animation, and the stage.
