Mickie Yoshino is a Japanese songwriter, arranger, and keyboard player, born on December 13, 1951, in Yokohama. He began his musical career in 1966, performing at U.S. military bases in Japan with a band called Midnight Express Blues Band. In 1968, he joined a band and remained a member until 1970, later participating in their 2004 reunion. Yoshino studied at the Berklee College of Music, graduating in 1974. After returning to Japan that same year, he formed the Mickie Yoshino Group, which was renamed in 1975. In addition to his work as a musician, he has composed music for film, animation, and the stage.
