Midnight Juggernauts is an indie electro-pop synth rock band based in Melbourne, formed in 2004. The group was initially conceived in 2003 by high school students Vincent Heimann and Andy Szekeres, who bonded over their experiences in "ignominious bands" and a shared passion for electronic music, inspired by Daft Punk. In 2007, they were joined by Daniel Stricker, finalizing the lineup. After releasing several 7" and 12" singles, as well as limited edition EPs, they gained a devoted fanbase, particularly through Myspace. In 2007, they released their debut album, Dystopia, on their indie label, Siberia. The band garnered attention when French electronic act Justice cited them as one of their favorites, which boosted their popularity. They toured North America together, and Dystopia was released internationally in mid-2008. Their second album, The Crystal Axis, released in 2010, showcased a more prog rock influence, followed by their last album, Uncanny Valley, in 2013 on the French label Record Makers. Midnight Juggernauts has remixed tracks for various artists, including Tame Impala, Johnny Cash, and the Presets. Staying true to their DIY roots, they produced their own music, with visuals created by Vincent Heimann. The band has been on an indefinite hiatus, described as "hibernation" on their official social media, since
