Mighty Fire was a music group based in Los Angeles, known for their work in the early 1980s. They recorded two albums, 'No Time For Masquerading' in 1981 and 'Mighty Fire' in 1982, both released on Elektra Records. The first album featured co-producers Mel Bolton and Marilyn McLeod and included the track 'I Could Write A Love Song', written for writer Pam Sawyer's son, Steve Sawyer. Their songs 'Sweet Fire' and 'Love Fantasy' gained popularity on U.K. dance floors. The band consisted of Darryl K. Roberts (keyboards, bass, vocals), Perry Peyton (lead vocals, drums), Mel Bolton (guitar, producer, vocals), D'Lanie McQuaig (lead vocals, guitar), and Harry Kim (trumpet, vocals). After the release of their second album, the band disbanded.
